Clowns

Clowns are special people.

They choose to make

people laugh,

to feel happy.

Clowns are artists

They create silliness through

their make-up and clothing.

Clowns are heroes

They risk their lives

distracting an angry bull to

save a fallen rodeo rider.

Clowns are healers

They visit sick children.

Coaxing a smile, sometimes a giggle

From a frighten, sick little body.

Clowns are technicians

They fix broken hearts

With a goofy walk

A honking horn,

A silly grin.

Clowns are teachers

Because behind the make-up

and the outrageous clothing

is a human soul

who laughs,

cries

hopes

dreams

and educates us

in the joys of life.

If Jesus walked the earth today -

I think He’d love being

 a clown for His people.
