Alone with Death
Sitting alone in a
room
Heavy is the air as
the body aches, and
the spirit cries.
The body demands
healing
The soul seeks
answers
There seems no
refuge,
no shelter
from the pain of the
body
or sorrow of the
soul.
No words can soothe
No presence can
relieve
the sadness that
racks the
body and spirit.
I pray for the
body to heal and
the soul to find
peace.
In this aloneness
I hear the whisper of
God,
feel His gentle touch
and know I am not
alone as
He understands and
grieves with me.
